Dark Moon is not a light read. It is written in such a way as you will not be skimming anything. It goes from present time of the alien forces decimating armies and the entire human race to our main character, Raziel, his love, Lupea and the Evil Ares, the last e pure born werewolves in the world during 490 AD with peeks into 7000 BC when Pure Bloods ruled as Gods. The story will keep you gripped as it flows. Give it a few chapters to place characters and a basis for the plot and then it takes off. You will not want to put it down once it picks up its pace. The characters are deserving of the fates awaiting for them, good and bad. My one complaint is that there is no reason given as to why the aliens invaded and why they are determined to kill everyone.
This is the first in the series, but gives you a great start and leaves you wanting more. You will grow to know the characters, their strengths and flaws. Some will be friends and some you will fear, but you will forget none. My rate is 4 out of 5 stars. I look to book two to be a better read now that the basic story is established as are the core characters. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
